Use Tutelium for honest church and charity administration. Do not use it to break the law, attack the service, phish people, or send spam. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
1. General rules
You and your users must not:
- Use the service for unlawful content or an unlawful purpose.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service, or bypass security or access controls.
- Scrape or automate access in a way that harms availability or ignores rate limits.
- Upload malware, or try to read another organization’s data.
- Use the service in a way that violates donor, member, employment, or privacy laws that apply to you.
- Misrepresent Solon output as a certified audit, an IRS acceptance, or a tax opinion.
- Use the service to process gifts, reimbursements, or payouts for a sanctioned person, or to evade US sanctions or export rules.
- Harvest donor, member, or volunteer lists to sell or to spam people.
2. Custom domain
You may connect only a hostname you control or are authorized to point at Tutelium. You must keep DNS in place while you use the feature. You must not upload certificate files or private keys.
You must not use a custom hostname for phishing, credential theft, or impersonation. You must not connect a name that infringes someone else’s trademark or that is confusingly similar to Tutelium in a way that would trick people about who runs the service.
Custom domain is the books app behind one subdomain. It is not general website hosting.
We may disable a custom hostname (including certificates) without deleting your books, if we reasonably see a security risk, plan lapse, this policy being broken, a credible trademark notice, or an operational need. The brand books URL remains the way in. Removing a hostname is not privacy-law erasure.
3. Messages, giving, and portal
- Do not send marketing or fundraising SMS without documented consent and applicable quiet hours. Honor STOP and other reasonable opt-outs.
- Do not use login one-time codes as a marketing list.
- Do not present care SMS or checkout screens as a complete IRS gift acknowledgment if they are not.
- Do not use live giving to process cards in a way that sends full card numbers to Tutelium.
- Do not invite people to the volunteer portal or Church Center who should not see that data.
4. If you break the rules
We may investigate, suspend a feature, or suspend the account, as the Terms allow. You indemnify us for claims that come from a hostname or content you chose, as stated in the Terms.
Material changes to this policy follow the notice rules in the Terms.
